  This place is amazing! They make delicious, homemade comfort food. Large portions. Great place for breakfast. I recommend the baked beans and fish cake for breakfast. It may sound strange to have fish cakes for breakfast but it was delicious! The baked beans were also good. Make sure you get a slice of their homemade pies to go before you get back on the Cabot Trail! The people who work there are so friendly, a good break from the smug, hipster-barista attitude that is all too common in Vancouver.

  Our second time stopping here in as many trips to Cape Breton. This is now a part of our future trips... we will be making this our last stop on the way home to Halifax every time from now on!

  Cozy little local joint with home cooking. Came for breakfast. $$ prices are good and food was hot and fresh. All made to order!

  We came here two years ago, it was late fall and we were freezing and on the way home to Halifax. This was pretty much the only place open, and the food was hot and delicious. All day breakfast is where it's at! Their lunch and other menu looks fantastic and fresh also! Came here today on the way home from our second Cape Breton trip, and the place is just as cozy and the food is just as delicious! The staff are friendly and the prices are more than reasonable! Thanks for the great food again! We will be back!

  All day breakfast is amazing, and appreciated by those of us who are travelling and not on a regular schedule. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and great prices. The bacon is amazing, and the coffee is likely the best we've found in Cape Breton.
